A Little About Us.

We're Johnny & Sam (but you probably already know that). We met the autumn of 2015 when we were introduced at a church college group by someone saying "Johnny, you're a videographer, and Sam, you're a photographer, why don't you talk about your favorite lens or something?". After a failed date proposal that December, we finally got on the same page and started dating on March 23rd, 2016. The week before, we talked about the possibility of dating and how if we were going to do this, we were going to marry each other. 2 1/2 months later, we got engaged, and 3 1/2 months later, we tied the knot on September 23rd in front of all of our friends and family in our hometown in Florida.

It's crazy how much more there is to the story, so if you're curious, ask us about it. It's our favorite story to tell. ;)

We've had a wild almost two years since we've been married but we wouldn't trade any of it. Johnny lost his job due to budget cuts at the church he was working at five months into our marriage which then pushed us to move to Budapest, Hungary for three months to pursue missions work. When we came home in December 2017, we applied to a missions organization and were denied due to the fact that we don't have four - year degrees (Johnny has his two - year and I am one class shy of my two - year), so we decided that we probably needed to get degrees and took the opportunity to sell everything we own and move to Washington State to go to school and continue with our business.

And now, here we are. We've been to five countries together, lived in hotels, Air BnB's, and with family. We're studying in school so that we can move back to Hungary, but we're incredibly grateful to call the PNW home for now. We drink too much coffee and stay up too late most nights. I wear black a lot and he likes wearing jackets. We've named all the plants in our home (which is a lot!) and spend a lot of time in the kitchen together. We're city people through-and-through but we can't get enough of the mountains we live in. We love Jesus with everything that we are and love each other more and more with each passing day.

I'm not entirely sure what I'll do with this blog. Some photographers and videographers use their blogs to only post their work, but I think I want to be more personal. We'll see.
